Welcome to the us-scholars-l E-mail Conference! The us-scholars-l list is a free on-line forum dedicated to fostering discussion and ties among scholars participating in IREX's US scholar programs. This listserve is for IREX's US scholar program alumni, scholars still in the field, and scholars who have just been awarded IREX grants for the upcoming academic year. It is intended to serve as a means for current and past scholars to exchange information, ask questions, and share experiences. It is our hope that all grantees will use this listserve to network amongst themselves, trade information on archives, apartments, and even grocery stores in the region, and just generally to provide support for one another. Staff members from IREX in the Washington, DC office and in the field also belong to the listserve and are available to answer questions of interest to the group as a whole. Please feel free to ask us anything. However, us-scholars-l is YOUR discussion group, not ours, and we encourage you all to raise topics for discussion. To post a message to all the list members, send email to us-scholars-l@info.irex.org. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to us-scholars-l
Subscribe to us-scholars-l by filling out the following form. This is a closed list, which means your subscription will be held for approval. You will be notified of the list moderator's decision by email. This is also a private list, which means that the list of members is not available to non-members. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext.
